WARDATE BRITISH PROPAGANDA BOOKS (3)
Good lot of three propaganda books printed in Britain during the early years of the war, includes two copies of 'Front Line 1940-41: The Official Story of the Civil Defense of Britain' (London: His Majesty's Stationary Office), 1942. 158pp. 8vo. Each well-illustrated, showing British civilians sleeping in subway stations, buildings and warehouses reduced to rubble, various civil defense workers, etc. One remains in fairly good condition, save for dislocated covers; the other is notably worn and significantly damaged, with some pages adhered together towards the top-right edge and a large split down the front cover. WITH: 'Bomber Command: The Air Ministry Account of Bomber Command's Offensive Against the Axis' (London: His Majesty's Stationary Office), 1941. 129pp. 8vo. Well-illustrated, with many b/w images, especially aerial views of various cities. Slightly worn to the spine, small surface creases to the covers, else very good to fine.
