CIGARETTE ALBUM FROM THE LIBRARY OF HIMMLER'S LIAISON OFFICER, KARL WOLFF
Scarce Third Reich cigarette album with interesting association: 'Deutschland Erwacht' ("Germany Awakened"), (Munich: Cigaretten-Bilderdienst Altona-Bahrenfeld), 1933. 150pp. sm. folio, completely filled with over 160 affixed color and b/w photos. The original fold-out photograph present with the book, showing a Nazi Party rally in Nurnberg, measures 12 in. tall and at least 48 in. long. Most interestingly, the front pastedown bears the ownership label of KARL WOLFF (1906-1975), Colonel-general in the Waffen-SS, liaison officer for Himmler with Hitler, and German military governor of Northern Italy. Minor soiling to the tan covers, slight tear at the top edge of some pages, else very good.
