HERMANN GOERING SILVER SOUP LADLE
HERMANN GOERING SILVER SOUP LADLE
A large piece from one of Herman Goering's formal tableware sets, a sterling silver soup ladle with gold-washed bowl. The ladle, approx. 13 in. long, has a rather subdued patter with Goering's family crest of a shield containing an upraised arm and ring skillfully hand engraved upon the handle. The interior of the ladle has been adorned with a gold wash. Hallmarked on the reverse of the handle by Bruckmann & Sohnne, Heilbronn, with a '800' purity stamp. Gilt wash worn in a few small spots, tarnished, else very good. A scarce, desirable piece.
