Hand-colored Civil War letterhead, 4pp. 4.75 x 8 in., a complete scene of chaos captioned: 'A MILITARY SNEAK' and reading: 'You left the Camp of war and strife, Expecting quiet with your wife, But you're assailed, behind, before, You had better leave for war once more.' The image shows the 'happy' soldier on leave protecting himself with a pot as his wife threatens to beat him with a poker and an iron. Meantime, his cat attacks him front the front, and his dog pees on him from behind. Some soiling. Still applicable for most today.
