(1874 - 1964) 34th President of the United States whose attempts to reverse the course of the Great Depression led to his defeat at the polls by Franklin D. Roosevelt. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., [n.d.], Nov. 28, 1941, to a Mr. Keesling about a new program for donors to Stanford University and thanking him for his previous donations, signed at the conclusion in blue ink. Fine.
