RICHARD M. NIXON 1971 WHITE HOUSE STAFF CHRISTMAS CARD President Richard M. Nixon and Patricia Nixon rare, oversized Christmas card given only to the White House staff members for Christmas 1971. The 22 x 13.75 in. card bears a reproduction of the 1864 portrait of President Abraham Lincoln by George P.A. Healy which hangs in the State Dining Room of the White House. Each reproduction was imprinted with a history of the painting, the greeting, :With our best wishes, the President and Mrs. Nixon at Christmas 1971:' and with a small metallic plaque beneath the image. This framed example is from the estate of Cmdr. Ronald L. Jackson (1928-1990) who planning and implemented reciprocal state dinners, the operation of the White House Mess and food service at Camp David and aboard Air Force One, and travelled with Presidents Johnson through G. H. Bush.
