MARGARET THATCHER
(1925 - 2013) First female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 until she resigned from office in 1990. She was dubbed "The Iron Lady" due to her uncompromising politics and leadership style. Her memoirs: "The Downing Street Years" (New York: Harper Collins Publishing), 1993. 914pp. 8vo. First ed. Thatcher signs boldly in blue ink on the title page. Initial fifty pages bear notable folds and creases to the bottom-right corner, else in very good condition. With original dust jacket.
