'Prayer Seder for the Insert Sifrey Torah from the Holy community Canterbury' - An interesting prayer order for Insert Two Torah scrolls received from the Canterbury community after being harmed, to the Oxford community. Oxford 1931. Hebrew and English page by page.


On page III, it is written, "The order of the guardian" refers to the legal side of receiving the Torah scrolls - in biblical language:  "אנחנו שלוחי ק"ק קאנטארביריא האפיטרופסין הממונין על קנינה בין בקרקעות בין במטלטלין מסרנו בידכם שלוחי ק"ק אושנפורט את שני הספרים האלה לפקדון והיו עמכם למשמרת עד יום גדור ה' פרץ עירנו ואת שברה ירפא, והיה ביום הקים ה' שנית את קהלינו והשיבותם את הספרים האלה לנו או לבאים מכחנו ומחמתנו כדין כהוגן וכשורה". Then follows the order of Minha prayer, chapters of Psalms, a blessing for the king, a blessing for the minister and his fellow policemen, and a blessing for the audience, at the end of the booklet a memorial service for the deceased and a list of their names.
