Lebanon Neta - Novellae of the Laws of Nida and Mikveh by Rabbi Natan Neta Landa, Padgorza, Krakow 1901 - First Edition. On the protective page the title  owner's signature of the Gaon, author of 'Darchei David', Rabbi Mordechai David Levin.


The Gaon Rabbi Mordechai David Levin [1879-1967] The great disciple of Rabbi Shimon Shkop, Rosh Yeshivat Etz Chaim in Jerusalem, and author of a series of books "Darchei David" on the Sha's. Born in Ba'aza, and already in his youth his extreme genius is evident. Studied in Salvodka at the Knesset Beit Yitzhak Yeshiva, and then went on to study in Volozhin with Rabbi Raphael Shapira. In Sivan 1903, Rabbi Shimon Shekop opened a yeshiva in Malta, and when he was looking for young and genius to establish the yeshiva, he turned to Rabbi Mordechai David in a letter, and he agreed, and a deep friendship began between them, which was expressed in frequent correspondence between the two. in 1906 he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and began to study at the Yeshiva Torat Chaim in Jerusalem and became known as 'the gaon from Ra'za'. the rabbi of Brisk said of him that "the opinion said by R. Mordechai David cannot be easily dismissed" In 1918, he took over the chairmanship of the Etz Chaim yeshiva, where he studied as a 50 years until his death.
