Early 19th Century three (3) drawer English Day or Night Refracting Hand Telescope | Signed Spencer Browning & Rust and 'Day or Night' London, Date: ca. 1784-1840 | Manufactured in London, England of brass and hardwood | Beautiful patina with good original optics | Approx. Dimensions: Closed: 14.5" L; Fully Open: 34" L | Very good + condition | Eye tube is marked "DAY OR NIGHT." The "SPENCER BROWNING & RUST LONDON" signature on the lens cap refers to a firm that was in business, as such, from 1784 to 1840, specializing in instruments for navigational use.
