CHINESE 'DEFEND THE MOTHERLAND' POSTER
Original printed color poster, 30.5 in. x 21 in. (opened), issued in Beijing in 1954, depicting a Chinese soldier holding a gun, in front of a scene of people celebrating at the steps of a palace, with fireworks exploding above them. The bottom, translated into English, reads 'Defend the Motherland!' Notable tear on lower edge, archivally-repaired on the verso. Some chipping to the edges, just good condition.
