T.L.S. on USS BLUEFISH letterhead, 1p. 4to., 'At Sea, North Atlantic', Oct. 26, 1970. This letter, sent to an associate of powerful Vermont Sen. George D. Rickover writes that the vessel '...completed all tests, including full power operation, both surface and submerged...', , briefly describes the service of the previous ship to bear the name, and states in part: 'The new BLUEFISH is equipped with the latest navigation and electronics systems and a computer-controlled weapons system which enable her to detect and attack targets at considerable distances...' He signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Shows original mailing folds, else fine. With transmittal envelope.
