THOMAS READE ROOTES COBB
(1823 - 1862) Confederate brigadier general who formed Cobb's Legion, fought in the Seven Days and at Second Bull Run, killed in action at Fredericksburg. Rare A.D.S. 'Thos. R. R. Cobb', 1p. 4to., Marietta, Sep. 11, 1857, an agreement in the case of A. Bangs & Co. vs. Blue Ridge Railroad Co. agreeing that testimony would be allowed at the mutual expense of both parties, and that it be printed with the depositions with certain other rights being reserved by both parties. Some mounting remnants on verso, very good.
