מכתב פולמוסי נדיר, בכתב ידו של רבינו ישראל יעקב קנייבסקי – הסטייפלר. בו קורא אל "
כבוד הרבנים הגאונים הגדולים שליט"א אמנם מי אני עני להתייצב מול הדר"ג בבקשות אבל מפני רוב הכאב והחרדה בדברים שהם עקר העקרים... להפר עצת בלתי מבינים בסכנת הדבר ולבטל כליל מינוי שאינו מתאים לרוח החינוך הצרופה... להפר מחשבות המקלקלים בכרם ה'".
