בכל שער חתימת ידו של רבי " משה זאקס" – כנראה זוהי חתימתו של רבי משה זאקס (תקפ"ה-תרס"ה. אוצה"ר 14686,15538) בעל שו"ת דברי משה (וילנא, תרל"ח). תלמיד רבי ישראל סלנטר. כיהן כר"מ בישיבות מאזייק וולוז'ין. גיסו של רבי יקותיאל ליב עליאן. תלמיד ר ישראל סלנטר. ר"מ בישיבת מאזייק, וולוזין, כונה "העילוי מאושמיאנה". כיהן כרב בקהילות ראסיין, פיליפובה, ומשנת תר"ל בנאמוקשט כ-20 שנה, בנו ר יהודה בן ציון על מקומו אחריו.
