Extremely rare! Mechilta DeRabbi Yishmael, first edition, Constantinople, 1515.
Midrash Mechilta DeRabbi Yishmael (Mechilta) on Sefer Shemot, which served as the foundation for the Derashos of the Sages on Halachic matters pertaining to the Mitzvahs that appear in this Sefer. An extremely rare item of the first edition of the Midrash, Astruc de Toulon Press. Written on the tite page: "Printed in Constantinople in [1515] by the young printer Astruc de Toulon of provence".
Editing in ancient Yemenite script on the first leaf.
The title page and first leaf have been completed from a facsimile edition.
