Yishrei Lev, alphabetically ordered Psakim and with a eulogy for the Rav the author, written by the Rishon LeZion Rabbi David Chazan, first edition, Izmir, 1870.

The Rishon LeZion Rabbi Chaim David Chazan (1790-1869), Gedol Hador of his generation, the son of the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Yosef Raphael Chazn author of the Chikrei Lev (one of the most well-known Shut Seforim among Sephardic Poskim and in general). In his youth he served as the head of the Shochatim in Izmir. Later, in 1840, he was appointed to serve as the head of the rabbis of the town, holding the position for several years. In 1855, he immigrated to the Land of Israel, settling in Jerusalem. There he held various rabbinic positions alongside the greatest rabbis of Jerusalem including Rabbi Moshe Benvanisti, Rabbi Chaim Nissim Abulafia and more. In Jerusalem he did much for the welfare of the members of the Yishuv, even going on a Shadarut journey to Vienna. In 1861, he was appointed Chacham Bashi and Rishon LeZion, positions he held until his passing. Authored many Seforim: Shut Nediv Lev, Torat HaZevach - Dinei Sechita, Yitav Lev - Drushim, and more.
