A RUSSIAN RED QUARTZ BOX EMBOSSED WITH 88 SILVER
A magnificent Russian stone box made of red quartz, placed on four legs, with a stunning exterior with 88 silver embossed bas-relief details, and a black lacquered interior. A box includes many gilded silver embossing and bas-reliefs: on the lid corners, there are floral patterns inlaid with garnets, on the middle, there are two heraldic-style lions with swords and suns, located on either side of the crown, with a beautiful swan below. There is a stunning gilded bas-relief of two birds drinking water from a fountain on the box obverse, and an embossed image of a bow, and a quiver with arrows on one side of it. Stamped on the box's gilded bottom with Russian hallmarks, 88 Silver mark, Kokoshnik, Imperial eagle, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks.
