A LARGE ICON SHOWING THE ENTHRONED MOTHER OF GOD AND SELECTED SAINTS Greek, 17th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Executed on a gold ground. The central part of the composition showing the Mother of God flanked by four selected saints in bishops attire and two angels. Below the equestrian Sts. George and Demetrios. Losses to the lower border, areas of retouching. 43.4 x 35.6 cm.
