A LARGE ICON SHOWING THE IVERSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD Russian, 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Executed on a gold ground. Their expressive faces delicately executed with cool tones, their garments rendered in deep colours, highlighted with dense chrysography, the maphorion of the Mother with an elaborate hem imitating pearls. Minimally worn. 55.5 x 43.4 cm.
