A VERY RARE ICON SHOWING THE HANDOVER OF THE ICON OF THE DORMITION OF THE MOTHER OF GOD BY THE MOTHER OF GOD Russland, um 1900 Russian, circa 1900 Schwere Zypressenholz-Tafel. Ölmalerei auf Kreidegrund, vergoldeter Rand ornamental Oil on wood panel. The gilt borders ornately incised and painted in faux enameling. The lower edge minimally chipped. On the reverse stamp (illegible). 26.7 x 22.5 cm.
