AN ICON SHOWING THE SWEET-KISSING MOTHER OF GOD Russian, late 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Executed on a gold ground. Painted traditionally with complimentary greens and reds, the garment folds emphasised with strong gold striations. The border minimally restored. 31.3 x 26.8 cm.
