A SMALL ICON SHOWING CHRIST PANTOKRATOR WITH A FILIGREE AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL OKLAD Russian, late 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, Anton Mikhailovitch Tchevarzin, 1894 (oklad) Oil on wood panel with velvet backing. Painted naturalistically with soft flesh tones, the body covered by silver filigree work, the silver-gilt oklad with applied name plaques in blue enamel. The halo executed in cloisonné enamel. Marked with city hallmark, assayer’s mark, 84 standard and master’s mark ‘ATch’ in Cyrillic. Losses, minimally restored. 22.2 x 18 cm.
