Big poster commandant of the German Army - Belgium
Beautiful and rare notice poster of the commandant of the German Army to the occupied Belgium inhabitants in 3 languages printed just after the occupation. It's written in German, Dutch and French, and it deals with instructions to be followed by the population and the punishments they could suffer if they didn't play by the rules or did any sabotage or action against the German authorities. They invite the people to keep on working normally and not to disturb the peace. This kind of posters with red edges were commonly used when occupiers wanted to transmit any important notice or news to the population of the occupied lands. The poster is in awesome condition and it would look incredible framed. Not many like this are found nowadays! Size quite big 60 cm X 52 cm
