Rare manuscript: Baal HaTurim on the Torah—Yemen, 18/19th century
Manuscript containing the Baal HaTurim on the Torah (complete), a scarce work among Yemenite manuscripts. Village script, with ornaments throughout. The identity of the scribe is unknown. 204 pages. Size: 15x20cm. New, red binding, some of which experienced light moisture damage, wear, individual pages are repaired with some missing parts, tears and stains, overall fair to good condition.
The blank first page has an inscription detailing the issue of the calculation of weight translations to the scribe’s time.
