Chiddushei Torah handwritten by Rabbi Aryeh Zeev Gurwitz of Gateshead on “Ein Ones b’Gittin.”
Leaf written on both sides with the cramped handwriting of Rabbi Aryeh Zeev Gurwitz, the rosh yeshiva of Gateshead. At the top of the page is written: “On the subject of Ein Ones b’Gittin.” The content makes the author’s gadlus in Torah clear. Size: 25x20cm. Stains in the margins, the text is readable and clear, good condition.
Rabbi Aryeh Zeev Gurwitz was known as Reb Leib (1906-1983). He was the son of Rabbi Aharon Koslowsky, Rabbi of Molot. He was son-in-law of Rabbi Eliyahu Lupian. He served for more than 30 years as head of Gateshead yeshiva. He was a student of the Wilkomir yeshiva and later under the Brisker Rebbe. He changed his last name to his mother’s maiden name following the war.
