Complete set, 4 volumes in leather bindings, of the Zohar, ‘with Torah secrets and the hidden midrash with pikkutei d’orayta and tosefta on parshiyot and marei mekomot from the Tanach and notes from the Maharhav and from Ram Cordovero and the Ramaz, precisely edited from a number of printed editions of the Zohar…the commentary Mekadesh Melech from Rabbi Shalom Buzaglo”, printed in Zolkwa. Approbation from the Admor Divrei Haim of Sanz.
Section 1: Genesis. 1862. [4], 14, [18], 15-58, [17], 59-96, [2], 97-251, [26] leaves.
Section 2: Exodus. 1864. 43, [1], 44-220, [5], 221-269, [6] leaves.
Section 3 : Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. 1862. 116 [26], 277-296, 116-179, 201-211, [3], 180-227, 8, 228-259, [13], 260-299, [1], 300-301, 304-305, [2] leaves.
Three sections in four volumes. Stains, lone tears, worn leather bindings, handsome copy in good condition.
Each volume has a note of ownership testifying that the copy belonged to one of the greatest students of the Chatam Sofer, Rabbi Itzik Aharon Landsberg. There is also a stamp on each volume: “Ben Zion Wiesel, Rabbi and Av Beit Din of Tordo.” Many handwritten notes, some long and significant. At the end of Genesis is a copy of the wording of the gravestone of Rabbi Landsberg.
