Certificate of Rabbi Moshe Herschler, from the time he studied at the Etz Chaim Yeshiva in Jerusalem in the summer of 1936 and winter of 1937. Jerusalem, 1937.


Certificate no. 134 of the Etz Chaim Talmud Torah for 1937, which was fiven to Rabbi Moshe Herschler a diciple of Rabbi Aharon Shifman [Yedlar]. The certificate was printed at the Solomon Press, with details filled-in by hand. Jerusalem, 1937. 


Rabbi Moshe Herschler (1922-1991). After graduating from the Talmud Torah of Sha'arei Chessed in Jerusalem, he studied at the "Ezt Chaim" Yeshiva headed by the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer. In 1944, he moved to study with Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel at the Mir Yeshiva which was established in Jerusalem after the destruction of the European yeshiva. Was renowned as an editor of religious journals, as one of the geatest editors of Seforim by the Rishonim, as one of the initiators and editors of "Otzar Mefarshei HaTalmud" and as one of the authors of the Talmudic Encyclopedia.
