A RARE ANTIQUE RUSSIAN CAUCASIAN SILVER SHASHKA
A rare Russian decorated with niello silver, Caucasian "Shaska" sword. The scabbard and the handle made from silver. These Shashkas were extremely popular and can be seen worn by the peoples of the Caucasus Region, including Georgians and Circassians. They were also commonly used by Cossacks. Circa: the late 19th to early 20th century.
