Engraved Jewish Plate - Moses on Mount Sinai
Plate made of brass, decorated with engravings of Moses on Mount Sinai, accompanied by angels, while he is given the Torah. The bottom of the plate depicts Aaron the priest in his attempt to prevent the people of Israel from worshipping the golden calf. The scenes are titled in Hebrew, and the plate is engraved in Hebrew at the margins. Persia (Iran), circa the late 19th century. Diameter: approximately 43 cm. Good condition, stains, wear.
