VASILY SOKOLOVSKY MARSHAL OF THE SOVIET UNION
(1897-1968) Soviet general and Marshal of the Soviet Union who led Red Army forces on the Eastern Front during World War II. As Georgy Zhukov's chief of staff, Sokolovsky helped plan and execute the capture of Berlin. He was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. A military attestation of the Deputy Commander of the 107th automobile repair shop Captain Nikolai Lukashov. Signed document by Sokolovsky in his capacity as the Head Commander of the Group of Soviet Occupational Troops in Germany, Marshal of the USSR, in blue pencil, May 29, 1948, 2 pages, 8 x 11.75 inches.
