Birkat Hamazon and a Hagaddah Shel Pesach with Drawings. Extremely rare.
Bad Homburg vor der Höhe [1727] Seligman Reis print.
42 pages. Size: 24cm. Excellent condition. Original restored cover. A few of the pages were artistically restored.
Otzar Hasefer Database, #98210

The printer is a Jew from Frankfurt who, following the interdiction given to the Jews by the City of Frankfurt to own a printing house, established Hebrew printing press in near-by communities, successively in Hanau, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe and Offenbach.

Birkat Hamazon booklets that were printed in Germany in the 18th century with drawings are very rare. Includes blessings for the festivals and holidays.

The famous drawings of Amsterdam's printing house were an inspiration for the artist rendering of the Jewish customs of the Middle Ages, and were a rare addition to the Hebrew book, thus preserving Jewish nation customs for future generations.

There is no other complete copy of this edition. Not even in the National Library of Israel.
