Vintage Hekman Furniture Mid-Century Modern Desk
A Vintage Mid Century Modern Desk Heckman Furniture. Measures 54" Wide x 32.5" High x 28" Deep. Mid-Century Modern roll-top desk by the Hekman Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Hekman Furniture was founded in 1922 and become part of the Howard Miller Company in 1983. The company is still in business but this desk from the 1960s is not in their line. The desk, with two drawers, has a body of figured walnut with stained oak hex-shaped legs. Inside the drawers the secondary wood is oak. The desk has a cylinder roll that opens to reveal storage compartments. The pulls on the cylinder and the leg stretchers are brass. (THIS WAS SOLD IN SEPT 2020 BUT THE WINNING BIDDER NEVER HAD IT PICKED UP OR SHIPPED, WE ARE RESELLING TO COVER STORAGE FEES AS IT WAS LEFT ABANDONED IN THE GALLERY.
