< br> I did this portrait of Banksy on Thames Beach, next to the Tate Modern, which can be seen in the background, in the early 2000s. The balaclava he's wearing was more famous than the person he was wearing at the time; I think he had used it in The Bristol Evening Post for an article there. The lyrics are "BANKSIDE" but, poetically, it points to the day when millions of Americans would refer to it phonetically as "Bang-ski."
