We met Opal in Kibbutz Ga'aton, located in the north of the country, in the high mountains of Israel
A young 32-year-old boy, a graduate of the art department at Tel Hai College. A Son to a jewelry maker. Opal relates that from an early age he would sneak into his father's studio and learn his delicate craft, experimenting with fire.
To the iron bends he came by chance, when he created a pendant commissioned by a face portrait and fell in love with the result. Some of his sculptures can be seen as a combination of jewelry.
The sculptures are made of iron and solder, with an anti-rust finish. Opal sculpts in large dimensions and creates from natural materials, copper, iron, fire, wood and its roots, iron and concrete.
