Karam Natour (b. 1992) was born in Nazareth and grew up in Shefar'am. An artist and lecturer living and working in Tel Aviv. His works deal with the characteristics of identity, its fluidity and the way in which it is structured and enforced by different frameworks - family, society, culture, politics and gender. The main actor in Natour's drawings is his character, whom he takes on historical, cultural and social journeys. The video medium is the native language of Natour, from which the drawings evolved. The physical presence of the body, is a recurring motif in Natour's works, emphasizing the allegorical contexts that accompany the existence of the body. In the various drawings, Natour often refers to the character of the artist in playfulness, humor and cynicism.
