JIMMY DOOLITTLE AUTOGRAPH
(1896 - 1993) American military general and aviation pioneer. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for personal valor and leadership as commander of the Doolittle Raid, a retaliatory air raid on some of the Japanese main islands on April 18, 1942. Doolittle autographed a magazine photograph picturing Madame Chiang Kai-shek with Jimmy Doolittle, Col John Hilger, and Lt. Richard Cole receiving 'decorations in appreciation for their feat'. Approx. 5.25 x 7 inches. Minor foxing at the top.
