KURT VON BRIESEN
(1886 - 1941) German General and recipient of the Knight's Cross. Von Briesen led the 30th Infantry Division in the invasion of Poland in 1939. Briesen was killed by Soviet aircraft near Isjum on the Seversky Donets River, southeast of Kharkov, on 20 November 1941. Rare photograph of Von Briesen on the back of a Kradmelder, approx. 2.5 x 3.75 inches signed in blue ink on the back. With a large b/w printed photograph of General von Briesen on a horse watching the German troops marching into Paris on 14. June 1940. 7 x 9.5 inches.
