THEODORE ROOSEVELT JR
(1887 - 1944) Brigadier General and eldest son of President Theodore Roosevelt, served as Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Governor of Puerto Rico, and Governor-General of the Philippines. He led the first wave of troops ashore at Utah Beach during the Normandy landings in June 1944. He died of a heart attack the following month. Clipped signature taped to a black-and-white Signal Corps photograph of Roosevelt in unform seated at his desk. 6 x 8 inches, Signal Corps stamps on reverse. With a COA from PSA/DNA.
