RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING SEASCAPE BY FRANZ ROUBAUD

Franz Alexeevich Roubaud (Russian/ German, 1856-1928) oil painting on board depicting a seascape view. Signed lower left. Framed. Franz Roubaud is known for History painting, panoramas, teaching. He was an academician and head of the battle workshop of the Academy of Arts, the founder of the national school of panoramic painting, the author of about two hundred monumental paintings.
