RUSSIAN SILVER TEA CADDY TROMPE LOEIL DRAGONFLY
A gorgeous Russian silver tea box made in the Trompe-loeil technique. The box exterior is decorated with gilded bas-relief patterns depicting dragonflies flying over the grass. The box's lid is carved in the shape of a fringed inwrought carpet that visually covers the tea caddy. Marked with Russian hallmarks, 84 Silver mark, Kokoshnik, Imperial eagle, and other Cyrillic and assay marks. Weight: 166 g.
