A bronze figure of "Shadakshari Lokeshvara", 19th century
Made in gilded bronze. It represents Shadakshari Lokeshvara the Buddha of compassion (Avalokiteshvara). The figure appears seated on a lotus base in "vajrasana" posture with two hands in "anjalimudra" posture and two raised in "vitarkamudra" posture. He is attired in a ceremonial dress (dhoti) and a pointed crown adorned with turquoise cabochons. It has a good patina and is preserved in very good condition. On the base there is an engraving in the form of a flower.
