Chatan Sofer, 2 sections—first edition, Ungvar-Munkatch 1874/8. Yichus copy with notes.
Two volumes from the set “Chatan Sofer”, halachic chiddushim from the tables of the Chatam Sofer and his father-in-law Rabbi Akiva Eiger, published by their grandson Rabbi Shmuel ben David Zvi Ehrenfeld. First edition.

1. First section: Sefer Ateret HaBachurim—Ungvar 1874. [2], 49, 147, [4] leaves. Approbations from Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried and Rabbi Shimon Sofer. Antique binding, leather spine, notes and glosses in the margins, see below.

2. First section on the Shulchan Aruch Orech Chaim, Seder Avodat HaYom—Munkatch 1878. [4], 154, [4] leaves. Approbation from Rabbi Shimon Sofer. Brittle paper, brown. Stains and defects, overall good condition.

Ateret HaBachurim has significant notes written in the margins. Based on notes in the blank leaves it seems that this copy and the notes belong to the gaon Rabbi Avraham Moshe Stein (1875-1944), Av Beit Din of Klausenberg, hy”d, son of Rabbi Zeev Yehuda, murdered in the Shoah. He was a student of the Arugas HaBosem of Khust and Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Glasner of Klausenberg.
