Sefer HaKaneh on the mitzvot—a work of kabbalah, first edition Poritzk, 1786. A Chassidic edition published by Rabbi Shlomo Levitzker
An important work of kabbalah published under a name many claim to be pseudonymous—Rabbi Even Gador Kaneh, writer of HaPliya. [1], 130 pages. Missing leaves: 9, 10, 17, 125, 126. Printed by Rabbi Shlomo (Rabbi Shlomo Levitzker was a student of the Maggid and an important writer and transmitter of his philosophy) and Rabbi Elimelech of Poritzk.
Endorsements from rabbis of Ostraha and Brazov. Kabbalistic illustrations of the sfirot and more, as well as the piyyut “HaAderet v’haEmunah Le’Hayei Olamim” with interesting changes in wording.
New binding with gilded inscriptions, title page and additional pages are repaired, some unprofessionally with missing text, stains, moth damage filled in, overall fair to good condition.
Antique notes on the title page and first leaf. Emphases noted by hand in the book’s introduction.
