Two sections—Section 1: collection of all the disagreements [machlokot] in the Talmud, organized alphabetically; section 2: on the 13 attributes of mercy, guidelines of psak, by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Zvi Yalish. [4], 229 pages. 51. Some pages are brown, some with stains and moth damage, original binding is worn, missing some of the spine, generally good condition.

Important stamps of ownership: “Yehiel Michal Mushkin in Jerusalem.” “Yisrael Yitzhak Bransarfer, Jerusalem, Admon Street, Perlman residence.” Interesting signatures of ownership: “belongs to Rav Yehiel Michal bar Yirmiyahu Mishkin.” “Rav Yisrael Kapole.” “N. Yerushalmsky.” Last page has an interesting note: “Belongs to Nehemiah ben Yisrael Yerushalmsky of Novoheridak who studies now in the city of Luvach, adjacent to Novoheridak.” And more.

Rabbi Nehemiah ben Rav Yisrael Yerushalmsky (1854-1930) was appointed Rabbi of Samzivoy in the Minsk region in 1881, then Rabbi of Liuvan in 1896, before immigrating to Israel in 1921.

Rabbi Yisrael ben Rabbi Haim Halprin was the grandson of Rabbi Mordechai of Sevirz, son-in-law of Rabbi Tuvya Zakheim of Rozinay, student of Rabbi Yom Tov Lipman of Kapoli, the Kedushat Yom Tov. He was a rabbi in Alkonik, Rozinay, Minsk, and, in 1833, was appointed rabbi in place of Rabbi Shmuel Segel. His sons were known geonim, Rabbi Refael Yom Tov of Bialystock and Rabbi Moshe Zvi of Minsk, and Rabbi Shmuel Halprin of Olshan. Died in Minsk in 1836.

Rabbi Yehiel Michal Mushkin was a rabbi in Jerusalem, and in 1914 he travelled to a shlichut in the US, where he served as a rabbi in St. Louis. Died in 1947.
