A LARGE ICON SHOWING THE MANDYLION Russian, 2nd half 19th century Tempera on wood panel. The haloes made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. Two selected saints on the borders: Guardian Angel and St. Basil the Great. The left and right border cut, the edges minimally chipped. 38.8 x 32.8 cm.
