Sudakov Vladimir Mikhailovich (1912-1994) - Soviet artist, easel graphic artist, engraver; was engaged in autolithography. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1954). Studied in the studio of the House of Arts, where Nikolai Tyrsa taught watercolor, and K. I. Rudakov, drawing. In 1933 he entered the Leningrad Art College, which he graduated in five years. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists since 1954. Master of color lithography. Created graphic cycles: "The Siege of Leningrad", "Landscapes of the Motherland", "Baikal", "Sport". The GMMOBL collection contains sketches for the "Siege of Leningrad" series, made in watercolors and gouache. In the field of lithography, including color, he worked for forty years, collaborating in the lithographic workshop of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists with A.S. Vedernikov, G. S. Vereisky, B. N. Ermolaev, V. A. Vetrogonsky, A. F Pakhomov, Yu.A. Vasnetsov and other famous artists. The works of Vladimir Mikhailovich were exhibited in socialist countries, as well as in Sweden and the Netherlands. Finland, England, USA, Canada, New Zealand. His paintings were acquired by the Russian Museum, the Saltykov-Shchedrin Public Library, the museums of Volgograd, Kostroma, Vorkuta, Cherepovets, Vologda, a number of American, English and other foreign museums.
