RITTER VON SCHLEICH MONOGRAMMED TRAY
Large Wellner German silver serving tray personalized with an engraved Luftwaffe Eagle clutching swastika and the name of EDUARD RITTER VON SCHLEICH (1888-1947), a German fighter ace in WWI and German General in WWII, Schleich’s final assignment was as Luftwaffe Ground Forces Commander in Norway, a post he held until late 1944. The personal silver serving tray is hallmarked 'Wellner 25' on the bottom and approximately 23 x 15 inches.
