A vintage black and white etching on paper, Argument of the Yiddish Scholars, after Bernard Trebacz (Polish, 1861-1941) the original oil painting on board. Signed in the plate lower right. Framed. An original paper label of Cornell Art Gallery, on the back. Boleslaw Bernard Trebacz, a Polish painter. He was born in a Jewish family, the son of David, a peace painter, he was the younger brother of Maurycy Trebacz. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. His artworks were shown at exhibitions of the Jewish Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
