On the title page of the book, the signature of the son of the "Sha'ar Efrayim", Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Ha'Cohen. Extremely rare!
In addition, the signature of Rabbi Yechezkel Katzenellenbogen, the Rabbi of Hamburg, Altona and Wandesbek
Rabbi Aryeh Yehudah Ha'Cohen was born in 1658. He served as a rabbi in the city of Alt-Ofen and assisted his father who was the head of the yeshiva. In 1686, he immigrated to Jerusalem and joined the yeshiva of Rabbi Moshe Galanti. In 1687, he returned to Europe and printed his father's book "Sha'ar Efrayim", which includes his novellae as well. After returning to Jerusalem, he became one of the leaders of its Jewish community. Some of his novellae is included in his father's book.
Rabbi Yechezkel Katzenellenbogen (1668-1749) was the Rabbi of Hamburg, Altona and Wandesbek for thirty years. He was a renown Posek and resolutely fought the Sabbateans. Authored the book "Knesset Yechezkle" among others.
Additional ancient inscriptions, Ashkenazic and Sephardic. Among others: "Reuven Ya'akov ben Rabbi Moshe".
Condition: Fair-Good. Prominent stains. Moth signs. No binding.
